Travel back with us to the year 1642 when Sir Thomas Holte is honoured by a visit from King Charles I.

We are celebrating the 400th anniversary of the Hall with a series of events exploring this grand old mansion’s rich history. What will the King make of his stay at Aston Hall? Join us to find out as you meet the formidable Sir Thomas, his servant, and the King himself. Please remember to bow and curtsy in the presence of his majesty! Don’t worry we’ll give you some tips on 17th century etiquette.

Aston Hall is open from 11am-4pm with last entrance to the Hall at 3pm. Our Tea Room and Gift Shop will be open from 11am until 4pm.

Pre-booking is not essential but highly recommended because we anticipate that this event will be very popular. Tickets are non-refundable. Usual admission fees apply. Free to Birmingham Museums members.
