Swoosh! A new Tall Tale family event as requested by our young visitors. Join us for our interactive telling of the traditional story of Beauty and the Beast.
Help us tell a traditional version of this well known tale. Smell the spices traded by Beauty’s merchant father, help search for the Prince in Beauty’s dreams, and find out why roses are so important to Beauty and the Beast. Before you go, have a peek in Beauty’s enchanted mirror – a perfect opportunity for you to take a photograph of your little one, or yourself to remember your visit!
Join us at 11am to make your own Beauty and the Beast themed Christmas Tree decoration to get you in the mood for our magical story time. We’ll enter Aston Hall and tell the story together between 11.30am and 12.15pm. Or alternatively join us at 1pm until 2.15pm, when the event will be repeated. Make sure to select your preferred time slot when booking and that your ticket states that it is for the Tall Tales: Beauty and the Beast Story Tour.
Each storytelling experience will last approximately 45 minutes, with time for craft beforehand. An enchanted way to explore Aston Hall, this event is suitable for children aged 3-8 and accompanying adults. This experience is not suitable for adults not accompanying children. Please bear in mind that we’ll be venturing upstairs inside Aston Hall together during the storytelling.
Feel free to join in the fun by getting dressed up, but please remember that Aston Hall is an historic building which becomes very cold in the winter, so warm clothing and sensible footwear is advisable for all.
Spaces are limited, pre-booking is essential. Usual admission fees apply. Your ticket includes the story tour, craft and general entrance into Aston Hall before or after our story tour. General entrance allows you wander around the Hall from 11am until 4pm.
Tickets are non-refundable. The Hall, Tea Room and Gift Shop are open from 11am until 4pm.
