Are you researching the workforce in Birmingham’s manufacturing industries? Would you like to get a better look at Birmingham Museum’s Collection and archive? Then we want your help!
The Birmingham Manufactures project is inviting proposals for contributors to a guide to the collections to be launched at the final project workshop on the 29th March 2018.
Two ‘object in focus’ days will be held at the Museum Collection Centre in February (dates to be decided with collaborators). You will be asked to put together a 500 word summary of your research for the guide and to present your research at the workshop on the 29th March.
We are particularly interested in research which focuses on the lived experiences of those in employment in Birmingham’s manufacturing industries. The experiences of women and BAME people are particularly under-represented in the stories we have so far.
If you are interested in contributing, please submit a 200 word overview of your research interests to firstname.lastname@example.org by the 9th February 2018.
Please share this call with any colleagues you think may be interested. You can do this by sharing this page or downloading the PDF copy of the Call for Collaborators.
