Destination Space:
Launch Event

Join us on Tuesday 15 December for the launch of the Destination Space schools project. Backed by the UK Space Agency, science centres across the UK, including Thinktank, are joining forces with Tim Peake, the European Space Agency’s first British astronaut.

To coincide with his trip to the International Space Station, a new schools programme has been developed to provide children with a unique opportunity to learn about human space flight and follow life on the International Space Station.

We have 300 places available at a special launch day on Tuesday 15 December, from 10.30am - 2.30pm, for KS2 and KS3 students at a cost of £5 each (includes Thinktank entrance and activities). Usual admission charges apply for teachers.

Activities include:

  • NEW Destination Space Science Show
  • Planetarium Show
  • Space activities in the museum
  • Live screening of Tim's launch into space!
