Edwardian Tearooms launches first PIPER-HEIDSIECK ‘Press For Champagne’ service in Birmingham

Do you appreciate the finer things in life? One of them is now available at the touch of a button, as Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery partners with the award-winning House of PIPER-HEIDSIECK Champagne to launch its ‘Press For Champagne’ service. This winter, guests will experience tea with a difference, as a glass of PIPER-HEIDSIECK Champagne will be hand delivered to the table, all at the press of a button.

Inside the unique setting of the Edwardian Tearooms, each private booth has been installed with its own Champagne buzzer. One press and your server will be on hand to guide the table through the full PIPER-HEIDSIECK menu.

Cuvées on offer from the most-awarded Champagne house PIPER-HEIDSEICK will include, the Brut NV which embodies the house style, the virtuosic and complex Vintage 2008, and winner of the Mundus Vindi 2017 Grand Gold Medal with ‘Best of Show Champagne Vintage’, and ‘Champion of Champions’ at the 2017 International Wine Challenge, the exclusive Rare Millésime 2002, which can be pre-ordered for a special occasion.

Alex Nicholson-Evans, Commercial Director of Birmingham Museums Trust, said: “Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery and the house of PIPER-HEIDSIECK have a long history of excellence in their respective fields, and this partnership just further demonstrates each company’s innovative talent. We are thrilled to be able to offer this new service to our customers – they can enjoy sipping champagne whilst knowing that they are helping the city's museums, as all profits from the Edwardian Tearooms go to support Birmingham Museums Trust."

James Taylor, Senior Brand Manager for PIPER-HEIDSIECK says: “We’re really excited to be bringing the award-winning PIPER-HEIDSIECK Champagnes to guests of the stunning Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery. Visitors will be able to press for PIPER-HEIDSIECK in the Edwardian Tearooms and enjoy a selection of some of the House’s best wines”.

Available now, the service is ideal for upcoming Christmas celebrations. The Edwardian Tearooms festive menu, features not only a traditional Christmas lunch (available from 15th November), but also a festive afternoon tea option (available from 3rd December), with enticing sandwiches and sweet festive delights.

Visitors will then be able to enhance their festive celebrations with award-winning PIPER-HEIDSIECK Champagne, inside Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery’s equally acclaimed walls.
