Group Visits

Housed in a Grade II* listed building, Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery is one of the most important centres for art and history in the UK, with collections spanning seven centuries. The Museum’s unique breadth brings together Saxon gold, Egyptian mummies and masterpieces by British and European painters.

We offer two types of tour for groups:

  • Highlights of the Pre-Raphaelites
  • Treasures of the Museum.

Both tours focus on our current displays, looking at old favourites as well as some of our less well known but just as fascinating collections. These tours may also include visits to some of our free temporary exhibitions depending on what’s on at the time of your visit.

As well as these tours we can often arrange bespoke tours for your group looking at some of our other collections or our bigger temporary exhibitions.

We are also able to work with you and your group to plan specialist study days (prices on request).

Group bookings include:

  • A guided tour
  • Max group 25 people
  • Coach drop-off point
  • Catering can be arranged with site
  • Specialist tours available (additional fee may apply)

Group price:

Standard Tour: £75 per group.
Temporary exhibition charges additional per person.

Tea and Tour Tour:

Add to your Treasures of the Museum Tour (£75 per group) by taking Afternoon Tea in the Edwardian Tearooms at £15.95 a head.
