In celebration of National Takeover Day Ignite are delighted to launch four new tours of Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery! 

Ignite are Birmingham Museum Trust’s Young People’s Forum for 16-24 year olds. They have spent months developing these exciting new tours of the museum.

All tours begin in the Round Room and last a maximum of 40 minutes. Tickets are available at the special price of £1.50 per adult, £1 per child. Book a place in advance at the reception desk or come a few minutes before. Places allocated on a first come first served basis.

12pm - Exploring Egypt

Join us for a fun tour of the Egypt Gallery uncovering the incredible world of mummies and hieroglyphs! Aimed at families with children aged 7-12. Dressing up involved! 

1pm - A Peak into Birmingham History

Travel through time as we explore the Birmingham History Galleries from the city’s origins to present day! Aimed at families with children aged 7-12. Dressing up involved!

2pm - Baroque Brushstrokes

Take an interactive tour of our recently renovated Baroque galleries highlighting some of Ignite’s favourite paintings. Aimed at audiences 12+

3pm - Women and the Pre-Raphaelites

How were women portrayed by the Pre-Raphaelite brotherhood? Take our tour to find out more about the representation of women through some of the finest works of the period. Aimed at audiences 12+
