A celebration of all things Middle Earth!
The main event is held on the recreation ground next door to the mill. There, you will find:
- Medieval combat displays
- Living history camps
- Children’s activities
- Family fun
- A costume pageant
- And orcs!
Entrance: £1 per adult, free for children.
(Please note that this event is not organised by Sarehole Mill, so please ask for information about anything happening on the field (e.g. timings) to staff in the welcome tent on the day.)
While we don’t organise the main event ourselves, we are always eager to participate!
You can also visit the mill for half price on both days 11-5pm. £3 for Adults and £1.50 for Children.
Admission to the mill is to be paid in cash to a staff member at the front of the mill.
Guidebooks are also available from the shop priced at £3.50.
We are also offering a FREE guided walk at 1pm, ‘There and Back Again’.
This starts at the mill and highlights some of the things around Sarehole that influenced Tolkien in his writing, including where he lived and Moseley Bog.
Places for the walk are limited, and on a first come first served basis and will be allocated on the day. Please ask at the front desk to reserve a place. The walk takes about an hour.
In the tearoom, we will have a selection of delicious cakes, tea and coffee available.
We have an array of interesting and exciting souvenirs in our shop, to commemorate your visit.
In the grounds; wander down the elven path, visit the orc camp and try not to get eaten by our dragon!
