This 90 minute session is designed to engage, inspire and challenge children to discover expressions, identities, symbolism and meanings in portraiture.
Based on the historical portraits within our Aston Hall collection and the current temporary Arts Council Collection exhibition, we combine history and art through replica costume, storytelling, discussion and fun drawing games. Learners will explore a range of different art techniques and use relevant vocabulary to discuss their ideas and responses, while sketching activities throughout the session will enable learners to record their art exploration.
Join us for a memorable introduction and exploration of art with strong cross-curricular content.
This interactive tour will bring alive the space and content of the Arts Council Collection exhibition and will use some of UK’s leading artworks for education, fun and creativity.
The Arts Council Collection is the UK's most widely seen collection of modern and contemporary art.
