Pupils will be able to experience the hard life of Tudor servant by using artefacts and replica costume.
Pupils will discover key features of a Tudor house and garden by sampling the hard life needed to maintain such a household. Some of the duties expected by the pupils will include sweeping the Hall, making all the beds in the house, emptying chamber pots, learning how to lay a table, using a pestle and mortar and completing the Kitchen inventory.
From April to September garden duties will be included for the servants, hanging washing, collecting wood and maintaining the Tudor garden (weather permitting).
Only hard working Tudors need apply.
(School visits to Blakesley Hall are available Tuesday - Friday.)
