Explore, experiment, problem-solve and create. Could your class be the city planners of the future?
Come and find out with this design and build workshop using Imagination Playground to create the missing elements of our fantastic, new city.
This session inspires team work and leadership skills encouraging children to solve problems by sharing their ideas and to enjoy their success together.
Our Imagination Playground session has been designed to follow the three stages of effective learning allowing each child to progress at their own stage of development:
- ‘Play and explore’- children ‘have a go’ with the equipment. What do they notice? What shape is the equipment and how does it work?
- ‘Actively learn’- children consider how the blocks can fit together and keep on trying when they encounter difficulties.
- ‘Create and think critically’- children apply their knowledge of the equipment to overcome problems as they build and to design their own creations.
This session is part of the MiniBrum experience to enhance STEM learning for EYFS and KS1. MiniBrum is a brand-new mini city where under 8s can explore the amazing world of science and engineering. Where will your MiniBrum adventure take you?
