Build observational skills and extend vocabulary by using traditional rhyme, song and action to learn about the house and life in the past.
Pupils will see the type of fire Polly would put her kettle on, help the dish run away with the spoon in the Hall and join the king singing ‘Lavender’s Blue’ to his queen in a parlour fit for a royal couple.
There’s also the chance to play with replica wooden toys and sing to remember to ‘wind the yoyo up’. Then, we’ll sing ‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Star’ as a lullaby to the children chosen to try out our replica bed in the Children’s Bedchamber.
(School visits to Blakesley Hall are available Tuesday - Friday.)
