Storytelling: Little Red Hen

Sarehole Mill

  • Capacity: 30 pupils
  • Duration: 2 hours
  • Cost (per pupil): £4.50
Book Session

Explore Sarehole Mill and the making of bread as we tell this traditional tale.

Using interactive storytelling and hands on activities, pupils will discover the journey of wheat as we turn it into flour.

They will see the waterwheel in action and explore the machines inside the mill, as well as using our very own flour to make dough to take back to school to bake into bread.

Please note: At Sarehole Mill we can only deliver one taught session at a time. However, you can now bring both your classes for a full day and take part in self-led activities whilst waiting for your session. To do this you can hire one of our activity packs, which provide a wealth of activities and resources to engage your class. Teachers will self-lead using these packs whilst the other class takes part in the session. Groups swap over after lunch.

School visits to Sarehole Mill are available Wednesday - Friday.
