Entrance to Aston Hall is through the Stables archway.

Opening Times and Entry

Aston Hall will be open Wednesday - Sunday from the 7th July – 19th December.

The mansion will be open from 12noon until 4pm via timed entry.

The Stable Yard Café and gardens will be open from 11am until 4pm.

Closed: Aston Hall will be closed on Aston Villa home games and for private hire on the following days in July and August:  25th July, 31st July, 14th and 15th August, 21st August, 28th and 29th August. A full list of dates can be found on our closed days page.

We recommend that all visitors pre-book a timed ticket, particularly at busy times such as weekends and school holidays.

Test and Trace

Whilst it is no longer a legal requirement, we will still be displaying NHS QR codes at the entrance to the museum in order to support the government’s Test and Trace operation. You are invited to check in on arrival, we will also continue to have a paper system available.


In order to keep our staff and visitors safe, Aston Hall will be maintaining multiple safety measures beyond 19th July until otherwise announced, in accordance with industry best practice and guidance issued by the Association of Leading Visitor Attractions.

We ask that you please:

  • Wear a face covering inside the building (unless exempt).
  • Use hand sanitiser on entering the building and regularly throughout your visit.
  • Do not pass your phone or printed tickets to our staff. You may be asked for your name and booking number.
  • Contactless card payments are preferred in order to limit personal interaction but cash will be accepted.
  • Keep a safe distance from other visitors and staff at all times.

Do not visit us if you are feeling unwell, have any symptoms of Covid-19 or have been in contact with anyone that has had the virus in the last 14 days. Please contact us at to reschedule your visit.

Stable Yard Café

To keep you and other diners safe we have the following measures in place:

  • When you arrive at Stable Yard Café, please take a seat – you’ll find a menu on your table. When you are ready to order, please make your way to the till point, here we will also take payment. Meals will then be served to your table for those eating-in.
  • A takeaway service is also available. 
  • Staff will be wearing masks and you’ll also find Perspex screens in operation.
  • Contactless card payments are preferred in order to limit personal interaction but cash will be accepted.
