Aston Hall has been welcoming families since its opening in 1858.
We run fabulous family-friendly events all year round, including at the weekends and during Birmingham school holidays. We regularly run our Tall Tales series of events, which are a fun and interactive way for our young visitors to explore the Hall. For full details of all events see Aston Hall's What's On page.
During term time, we run Aston Experience guided tours which families are welcome to join and enjoy the in-depth tour of this Grand Old Mansion.
During weekends and school holidays families can pick up one of the free family trails from the Great Hall to help children explore Aston Hall.
Get hands-on with history with our replica Jacobean objects. This is a great way for children to experience historical objects and learn about their uses.
Children can try on a variety of Jacobean outfits in our World Room, and take a selfie in our spectacular Long Gallery.
The gardens at Aston Hall are free to visit during opening hours and are a perfect place for a family picnic.
