Get hands-on with history and immerse yourself in the crafts and lives of people in the past!

Explore this magnificent seventeenth century mansion, immerse yourself in history and meet colourful characters from the past.

There will be a great chance to get hands-on with history, including:

  • Speak to the master stonemason and see how the hall might have been shaped.
  • Learn about cookery and the home front during the Second World War.
  • Help Queen Victoria’s soldiers make munitions.
  • Try armour and weapons of the Middle Ages.
  • For younger visitors you can even take part in some jousting!

This event is likely to be extremely popular, so pre-booking is highly recommended.
