An outdoor performance walk hosted by larger-than-life characters, all courtesy of Rusticus! Merry Monarchs features a lavish array of royal characters including warrior queens, chivalrous knights, and musical monarchs which includes plenty of silly interaction and off the wall activities!

Gently poking fun at some of our least successful monarchs, our Merry Monarchs ask the question of audiences – what qualities best befit a leader – before a finale in which we celebrate the long reign of Elizabeth II.

This event is likely to be extremely popular, so pre-booking is highly recommended.

Your ticket is for a performance of Merry Monarchs, taking place largely in the grounds, but you are welcome to visit the Hall before or after as entry to the Hall is included in the price!

Aston Hall is open from 11.00am to 4.00pm, with entry to the Hall from 12.00noon and last entrance at 3.00pm. The Stable Yard Café and grounds are open from 11.00am-4.00pm.

Please note that Merry Monarchs is an outdoor performance walk for families which lasts approximately 45 mins. Though we are hoping for glorious sunshine please do dress for the weather!

Birmingham Museums Trust is a registered charity and money raised through visiting helps us care for beautiful buildings like Aston Hall.
