A rare opportunity to see the grand old mansion at night. Explore this magnificent building after dark, making your way up to the Long Gallery where a musical banquet for your ears will be served up in the most spectacular setting.
Students and staff from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire present a programme of Baroque and Renaissance music performed on historical instruments. Music for viols, recorders, voices and harpsichord by Purcell, Byrd, Schutz and Holborne presented in the atmospheric surroundings of Aston Hall’s long gallery.
There are two performance times:
- Entry at 5.45pm – performance in the Long Gallery at 6.30pm.
- Entry at 7.45pm – performance in the Long Gallery at 8.30pm.
Entrance to the Hall is at your allotted time.
The performance takes place in the Long Gallery, located on one of the upper floors of the building, which are accessed by stairs only. As the building has uneven floors we recommend comfortable footwear, and a warm layer as evenings can be cool. Stiletto heels are not permitted without heel covers.
Pre-booking is essential. Tickets are non-refundable. Seating is unreserved. Once the performance begins latecomers may be refused entry.
