Join the King and Queen for Aurora’s christening party, see the cradle the fairies cast their magic spells over, and the spindle that caused Sleeping Beauty to fall asleep.

Before you go, try out the magic wand – a perfect opportunity for you to take a photograph of your little one – or yourself!

Join us at 11.15am to make your own crown to wear to the party to celebrate the birth of the Princess before we explore Aston Hall together to tell our story between 11.45am and 12.30pm. Or alternatively join us at 1pm until 2.15pm, or 2.45pm-4pm when the event will be repeated. Make sure to select your preferred time slot when booking and that your ticket states that it is for the Tall Tales: Sleeping Beauty Family Storytelling Tour.

Each storytelling experience will last approximately 45minutes, with time for craft beforehand. An enchanted way to explore Aston Hall, this event is suitable for children aged 3-8 and accompanying adults. This experience is not suitable for adults not accompanying children.

Feel free to join in the fun by getting dressed up, but please remember that Aston Hall is an historic building and sensible footwear is advisable for all. We will be venturing upstairs together during the storytelling tour and there is no lift access at Aston Hall.

Spaces are limited, pre-booking is essential. Your ticket includes the story tour, craft and general entrance into Aston Hall. Your ticket allows you wander around the Hall from 12noon until 4pm. Tickets are non-refundable.

Aston Hall is open from 12.00noon to 4.00pm, with the last entrance to the Hall at 3.00pm. The Stable Yard Café and grounds are open from 11.00am-4.00pm.

Birmingham Museums Trust is a registered charity and money raised through events like this helps us care for beautiful buildings like Aston Hall.
