Find out more about our Wellbeing programme of events that can support and improve your wellbeing.

Museums, art galleries, and historic houses, are incredibly powerful places to support wellbeing. Even a visit to our extraordinary spaces can promote relaxation, calm and enjoyment. Research has also shown that taking part in creative activities in museums and galleries can also improve everyone’s wellbeing.

At Birmingham Museums, we run programmes that support wellbeing for those that need it most, including carers, adults with dementia, adults and children on the autistic spectrum or with other sensory needs, and we are run programmes suitable for anyone who would like to try something new to improve their own wellbeing.

We also have now launched a new Wellbeing audio tour guide which allows you be peaceful and present while exploring the museum. The guide is available to hire for £3 from the main reception desk or can be pre-booked online .
