Join us this Easter for an autism/SEN friendly family workshop exploring Leonardo da Vinci's life and work.  Head through the galleries and find Leonardo’s hidden studio, where his works and inventions come to life with your help!

Leonardo da Vinci was more than just an artist. His ideas and contributions to engineering, science and technology shows he was nothing short of a genius!

You will learn about the artist, the inventions he made and explore his artwork in creative and imaginative ways. In honour of his work currently on display in our galleries, come and join us as we uncover the man behind the art!

This family fun activity involves music and drama, with opportunities for children and carers to join in, and has been tailored to meet the needs of children on the autistic spectrum or with other special needs by taking a friendly and relaxed approach to the performance.

Children are encouraged to join in through movement or signs, and can make noise through the performance. If preferred, children are welcome to relax and watch without pressure to join in, and everyone is free to step away for a break at any point. A Social Story about the Museum itself will be available beforehand to prepare for your visit.

There will be plenty of opportunities to get hands on with activities with family members, to help learn more about the genius of Leonardo.

The SEN friendly workshop is recommended for children aged 7-11 The workshop starts at 10.15am and lasts approximately 30-40 minutes.

Pre-booking essential.
