Join us for dinner in the Edwardian Tearooms and enjoy an exclusive hidden treasures tour of Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery! The museum is not yet open to the public, so this is a particularly special event.

For almost 150 years Birmingham art gallery has been enriching, educating and entertaining all who visit. The collection has now grown to well over half a million objects and enjoys an international reputation. This eclectic tour will introduce guests to well-known pieces alongside items that have a less famous story to tell. From the lives of their creators and discoverers and their journeys to Birmingham a few hidden meanings, surprises and secrets may well be revealed!

There are three time slots available:

  • Ticket 1: Dinner at 6.30pm followed by a tour at 8pm
  • Ticket 2: Dinner at 7.30pm followed by a tour at 9pm
  • Ticket 3: Tour at 7pm followed by dinner at 8pm

Please ensure you arrive 15 minutes before your time slot.

Your £30 ticket includes a 45 minute tour of the Museum & Art Gallery and a main course from the below menu. Our bar will be open all night, we are accepting card payments only to limit personal interaction, with contactless preferred.

Faggots & Peas
Faggots & mushy peas served with parmesan & celeriac mash

Vegetable Balti
Butternut, cauliflower, turnip, carrots & apple cooked Balti style, dressed with coriander raita & served with rice

Groaty Pudding also known as Groaty Dick
Slow & low shin of beef, leeks, carrots & groats braised in a rich midlands ale gravy served with Brummy bacon cakes

Safety Information

Staff on site will be wearing PPE or working behind perspex screens, we have enhanced cleaning schedules in place, and we will be asking you to observe social distancing guidelines at all times whilst on site. Access to toilets is limited to one household / bubble at any one time. We are only accepting contactless payments in a bid to reduce customer contact (no cash accepted). Do not visit if you or a member of your party is displaying any symptoms of Covid-19. Please remember to bring a face covering for use in our galleries.
