Join us this summer holiday as we transform gallery 20 into a pop-up space for families with lots to see and do. Try out a different themed craft each day, discover some weird and wonderful mystery objects, add to our artists gallery and peek into the brand new secret mini cinema. Weekdays only.
We will have a different craft to try out each day. On Monday make your own owl mask, on Tuesday make a balancing butterfly, on Wednesday we are inspired by Andy Warhol and colourful pop art, on Thursdays we will be making knights and ladies and on Fridays you can craft your own mini Saxon warrior! £1 per child, suitable for all ages.
Our friendly team of volunteers will be showing off some of the stranger objects from our stores - can you work out what they are? Free, designed for families but visitor of all ages welcome.
Plus look out for our gallery of artworks created by young visitors, our mini secret cinema showing clips from our favourite past events at the museum, and special pop-up events throughout the summer.
From 20 July - 25 August find us in gallery 20 on the second floor, then from 26 – 28 August find us in the Industrial Gallery, from 11am to 4pm on every weekday of the summer school holidays.
