Celebrating Sanctuary Birmingham presents... ARTconnects Event for Women- 1.30-3.30pm (Art Classroom)

In collaboration with Celebrating Sanctuary - ARTconnects creative workshop will take place on 17 February - to mark 'One Day Without Us' the National day of action in solidarity with migrants from around the world who are living, working and studying in the UK.

Art, conversation and networking will be the recipe to connect women from diverse backgrounds and celebrate migration through creative expression.

Afrikan Fusion - Music of Zimbabwe - With Millicent Chapanda- 3.30 - 4.30pm (Learning Zone)

Millicent Chapanda is a Zimbabwean musician and creative cultural artist, mbira player, singer dancer and percussionist. Her simulating performance style is engaging and spellbinding as her music goes deep into ancient cultural heritage. Join her for a music workshop exploring traditional rhythms and songs of Zimbabwe.

 These events are people who identify as women only to create a safe space for sharing.
