One of the first signs of spring is the emergence of hibernating insects in March. The West Midlands has an amazing variety of species that can be found in even the most built-up areas.

In this lecture Lukas Large will introduce some of the bees and other insects you can discover in your garden over the next few weeks. Find out about their fascinating behaviour and how you can identify and record these species.

Lukas is mainly a mycologist but has started to study insects and works across our museums and sites as Curator of Natural Science.

This online lecture will be delivered via Zoom. Once you have signed up to the lecture, a unique invite will be sent for an online Zoom webinar, along with instructions of how to log on.

Pre-booking is essential. Book tickets online - ticket sales end at 12noon on the day of the event.

Birmingham Museums Trust is a registered charity and money raised through events like this help us care for our collections and venues. We thank you for your support.
