Join us for this fascinating walk and tour through the galleries and through the ages, as we discuss the impact of mental health on art and the way it is received, from the Renaissance through to the Victorian period, and the way in which art reflected responses to the war in the twentieth century.

As well as a tool for social and political comment, art frequently reflects the mental wellbeing of the artist, directly or indirectly.  This tour is offered as part of the BEDLAM Arts and Mental Health Festival: 1 – 12 October 2019.

Tours are £3 per person. Free to Birmingham Museum Members.

This tour will run at 12pm and 2pm - spaces are limited, so please book in advance to avoid disappointment. Book tickets online or phone 0121 348 8263 (lines open Monday - Saturday, 9am - 5pm).
