About Earth Day at Weoley Castle

Go Wild at Weoley Castle Ruins for our Earth Day event!

We’re celebrating Earth Day 2024 in our wonderful green space. Home to foxes, badgers, buzzards and squirrels, the Ruins are a perfect site for urban nature.

Drop-in to various activities throughout the day:

  • Join ZooLab to get up close and hands-on with some real live animals as we talk all about our changing planet and the challenges facing nature. Meet the likes of snakes, tarantulas and giant snails in this exciting encounter session that hopes to 'Amaze, Educate and Inspire' all ages'. Shows available throughout the day on a first come first served basis.
  • Explore the site and see what wildlife you can spot!
  • Make an earth seed bomb with Wild Earth Movement.
  • Meet Digventures and Birmingham and Warwickshire Archaeological Society and find out more about their exciting work.
