Learn about one of the oldest houses in Birmingham by investigating the domestic life of the wealthy Smalbroke family.

Contrast the lives of the Smalbrokes with their servants by exploring the house and interrogating artefacts and replica costume.

Pupils will discover key features of a Tudor house and learn vocabulary relating to the structure of the building.

They will practise a Tudor dance in the Long Gallery and explore our replica bedchamber.

Learners will develop speaking and listening skills through question and answer, discussion and exploring a range of evidence.

(School visits to Blakesley Hall are available Tuesday - Friday.)
