Sarehole Mill

  • Capacity: 30 pupils
  • Duration: 2 hours
  • Cost (per pupil): £5.00
Book Session

Explore rivers and the importance of water power at Sarehole Mill.

Together, we take a journey discovering how water powers the mill, before following the water as it flows away to join the river.

Using maps and compasses, pupils will explore river features and participate in river fieldwork.

Wellies (and warm clothes) are essential as pupils will be entering the river during the workshop – local river conditions permitting. It is advised children bring a change of socks and shoes with them. At least one adult visiting with each class must have wellies on and be willing to accompany the Learning Officer into the river if the weather permits us too.

School visits to Sarehole Mill are available Wednesday - Friday.
