The first ever Best of Handsworth fair aims to promote the area’s rich culture and history by giving people the opportunity to experience the tastes, sounds, artists, products and people of Handsworth.
Ever since Matthew Boulton laid his first brick for his manufactory here, Handsworth has never stopped being an area of new ideas, new people and new thinking! This is what makes this diverse area such a vibrant and cultural hub of Birmingham and the UK.
The gardens will become a showcase of all good things from the local area, and a place where local business owners, community organisations and enterprising individuals can bring stalls to sell their wares and their foods or promote their services and their community work to visitors from the local area and beyond. There will be an emphasis on healthy living, mutual respect and cross-cultural solutions to the issues of today.
