Drop-in and meet the experts from the Centre for Doctoral Training in Physical Sciences of Imaging in the Biomedical Sciences and also meet experts from the Proxomics Project, Imperial Collage London.

Meet the Experts - Physical Sciences of Imaging in the Biomedical Sciences

The Centre for Doctoral Training in Physical Sciences of Imaging in the Biomedical Sciences (PSIBS) will help you to learn all about the use of light in everyday life, ranging from forensic science, medicine and health to film and theatre.

You can use the power of physics to make your own liquid filled test-tubes creating works of art and beauty. Learn how we can see very small things, like cells in a plant to micro-bugs in canal water.

Meet the Experts - Proxomics Project, Aston University, University of Glasgow and Imperial College London

Molecules and cells - light, sound and motion

Come and see a tiny laser tractor-beam that can move cells without touching them, how sound can be used to make wiggly corn starch worms and try your hand at molecular pinball.

For the young (or young at heart) have a go at felt tip chromatography.

Come and talk to us about how the Proxomics project is harnessing these tools to understand how our bodies change as we get older.
