Our Changing Planet is the new gallery at Thinktank exploring the idea of the Anthropocene. The Anthropocene is a proposed new geological era in which humanity has become the dominant for affecting how the planet works.

This is the first permanent Anthropocene gallery in Britain and contains a unique selection of objects from across Birmingham Museum’s collections including archaeology, fine art, science and industry and natural science.

In this online talk Lukas Large, Curator of Natural Science, will introduce the idea of the Anthropocene and how this was used to develop Our Changing Planet.

This online lecture will be delivered via Zoom. Once you have signed up to the lecture, a unique invite will be sent for an online Zoom webinar, along with instructions of how to log on.

Pre-booking is essential. Book tickets online - ticket sales end at 12noon on the day of the event.
