Join us for dinner and enjoy an exclusive hidden treasures tour of Thinktank, Birmingham Science Museum. 

This eclectic tour will introduce guests to the treasures on display at Thinktank. Including truly iconic objects, world record holders and specimens of great importance. Find out about the scientists and inventors who changed the world with their creations and how these collections came to live in Birmingham, you may also discover a few extra surprises and secrets as we explore the galleries by night!

This event takes place on Saturday 24th April. This is the new date for the event that had originally been scheduled to take place on 23rd January.

There are three time slots available:

  • Ticket 1: Dinner at 6.00pm followed by a tour at 7.00pm
  • Ticket 2: Tour at 6.00pm followed by dinner at 7.00pm
  • Ticket 3: Dinner at 8.00pm followed by a tour at 9.00pm

Please ensure you arrive 15 minutes before your time slot.   

Your £30 ticket includes a 45 minute tour of Thinktank Birmingham Science Museum and a main course from the below menu. Our bar will be open all night, we are accepting card payments only to limit personal interaction, with contactless preferred.

Pre-booking is essential.

Faggots & Peas
Faggots and mushy peas served with parmesan and celeriac mash

Vegetable Balti
Butternut, cauliflower, turnip, carrots and apple cooked Balti style, dressed with coriander raita and served with rice

Groaty Pudding also known as Groaty Dick
Slow and low shin of beef, leeks, carrots and groats braised in a rich midland’s ale gravy served with Brummy bacon cakes

Thinktank will feel a little different to usual, but we are sure you will enjoy your visit and we look forward to welcoming you. This event will be a lovely opportunity to visit the Signal Box Café and selected galleries, but the rest of the museum itself will be closed. Staff on site will be wearing PPE or working behind Perspex screens. We have enhanced cleaning schedules in place, and we will be asking you to observe social distancing guidelines at all times whilst on site. 

We are only accepting card payments, to limit personal interaction, with contactless preferred.

Please remember to bring a face covering for use in our indoor spaces and please note that you are limited to purchasing a maximum of 6 tickets per transaction from the same household/support bubble.
