  • Duration: 2 hours
  • Cost (per pupil): 6,50 £
Book Session

Explore the story of the Great Fire of London in a historic setting.

We’ll discuss how the fire started and discover why the flames spread so quickly and how they were eventually put out. In this interactive session you will find out more about Thomas Farriner, King Charles II and Samuel Pepys. Pupils also learn 17th-century fire-fighting methods, trying their hands at lifting the heavy fire hook and passing a leather fire bucket along a line.

(School visits to Aston Hall are available Wednesday - Friday.)

Bring two classes from your school and spend a full day on site with self-led activities to use outside of your taught session.
