About Christmas Cinema: Love Actually

This Christmas season, Thinktank Planetarium’s will sparkle with cosmic cheer. Settle in a cinema-style screening and enjoy a specially chosen festive space-themed film, where twinkling stars meet holiday magic in a setting sure to warm hearts of all ages.

The characters are falling in love, falling out of love; some are with the right people, some are with the wrong people, some are looking to have an affair, some are in a period of mourning; a capsule summary of reality. Love begins and love ends. They flirt a lot. They are all flirting with love. At all ages and social levels, love is the theme. Romantic love and brotherly love is the hotchpotch throughout the movie. Most of the movie is filmed in London, during Christmas, and the characters all end up at Heathrow airport a very uplifting note.
Event Information:
Main Thinktank doors are open from 7pm.
Please enter the museum from Level 0, the Thinktank Main Entrance.
Once you've presented your tickets at the welcome desk, you're free to explore the museum before the film.
Planetarium doors open by 7:25pm.
The Planetarium is located on Level 3.
The film starts at 7.30pm.
There are no trailers and the film will start promptly.
It's difficult for us to admit latecomers, so please aim to arrive with plenty of time to spare!
Pre-booking is essential as places are limited. Seating is unallocated.
This film was not made to be projected in a full-dome format, but we will be using our big cinema screen inside the dome.
