At Birmingham Museums Trust, we want to ensure that everyone can access our museums in the way they need, and enjoy the fantastic spaces and places we run.

For those with particular needs we provide access information. These can be particularly helpful when planning visits with people who may find a museum visit a bit daunting. This information is available for each venue on their Visit web pages or follow the links below.

Morning Explorers events

We know that sometimes our museums can be a bit crowded and overwhelming for some visitors.

If you or someone you care for are on the autistic spectrum; living with a sensory processing disorder; or have other special needs and you’d prefer a quieter visit to our museums, you are very welcome to join one of our Morning Explorers sessions. These sessions allow adults and children to explore our museums at a quieter time, before we open to the public. Admission charges are also reduced.

Our Morning Explorers events across our sites can be found on our What's on.
