Neverland at Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery is suitable for all ages - to be enjoyed by everyone.

Please note that the use of tripods is not allowed.

No flash photography or selfie sticks permitted.

We advise arriving 5 minutes prior to your selected start time. We also recommend that your tickets are downloaded or printed, ready to be scanned. Please note that last entry is 15 minutes after the last timeslot of the day. Opening times vary on different days so please double check the opening hours on the day of your attendance. Refunds and exchanges cannot be permitted if you are unable to attend due to late entry.

There will be no food and drink available within the Neverland Experience. The Tearoom at Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery is open Tuesday - Sunday from 10am - 5pm. 

Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery has a small picnic area in the Wild City Gallery and a larger picnic area above the Tearoom (access by stairs only). These areas are not accessible during the experience but may be used after it has finished, during museum opening hours. 

There will be a gift shop available at the end of the experience. 

No re-entry will be permitted.

Toilets are located half way around the experience.

There will not be any strobe lighting at this event.

There will not be seating on the Neverland walk through, however there are seating areas located throughout the galleries at Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery for after your visit. If additional seating is required and none is available, please speak to a member of staff.

Pushchairs are welcome at Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery. During peak sessions, you may be required to use the pushchair parking area before entering the experience.

We recommend that you book early. Each timed entry has a limited capacity and the early evening and weekend slots are likely to sell out fast.

Infants aged 0-2 years do not require a ticket to enter the experience.

Group rates are not available for this experience. 

Members of Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery are still required to purchase a ticket. Members will receive 10% off on admission tickets. To book your ticket, please log in and purchase via the Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery website.

You will have received your tickets via the email used when making your booking.

Tickets are valid on the ticket date only and are are non-refundable or transferable.

Your confirmation email cannot gain you entry into an event unless otherwise stated.

Photos or scans of your tickets will also not be accepted.   

If you haven't received your confirmation email, please allow up to 24 hours for it to reach you at busy periods and also check it hasn't gone into your junk mail folder.

You can show your E-tickets on your phone, as long as the barcode is clearly visible on entry. Please turn the brightness on your device up to ensure easy scanning of the barcode. If your phone is in ‘dark mode’, please ensure this is turned off.

Disabled ticket holders are entitled to one free carer ticket as an essential carer / companion.

This should be booked at the same time as purchasing all other tickets during the booking process.

If somebody requires assistance to attend the event because of a health condition or disability and is in receipt of any of the below benefits, they will qualify for a free carers ticket:  

Disability Living Allowance (mobility or care component)
Attendance Allowance Personal Independence Payment (daily living or mobility component)
Where the assistant holds a Forward Carers Card.

We would recommend bringing any relevant paperwork.

For those persons that may require multiple personal assistants, prior arrangements must be made with Birmingham Museums Trust and written evidence of this requirement may be asked for before entry is permitted.

Due to our adherence to health and safety guidelines, we cannot allow anyone under the age of 16 years to be a personal assistant to another person.

Wheelchairs are welcome at Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery. Wheelchairs are also available to borrow for free, please speak to a member of staff.

The Gas Hall is located on Level 1 of Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery with lift access from Edmund Street. There is no lift or ramp within the experience. 

The Gas Hall entrance is located on Edmund Street. If you approach from the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery main entrance on Chamberlain Square, walk past the entrance with it on your right and turn right. It is a short distance to the Gas Hall entrance which is on the left.

Town Hall tram stop is the nearest to Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery, a few minutes walk away. This tram stop is on Line 1 of the West Midlands Metro and is located outside the Birmingham Town Hall. It is a 2 minute trip from the Grand Station tram stop outside New Street Station.

Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery is located within a short walking distance of Colmore Row where a number of city centre buses terminate. All buses have links to their timetables on the National Express West Midlands website.

The closest bus stops to the museum are for the following buses.

• Number 9 Stourbridge to Birmingham, via Bearwood, Quinton and Halesowen
• Number X10 Gornal Wood to Birmingham via Russells Hall Hospital, Merry Hill, Cradley Heath, Halesowen & Bearwood
• Number 82 Bearwood to Birmingham via City Hospital & Cape Hill
• Number 87 Dudley to Birmingham via City Hospital, Smethwick, Oldbury & Tividale
• Number 101 Leveretts via Jewellery Quarter and Winson Green

Bus services are operated by National Express West Midlands.

Gas Hall at Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery is conveniently located near major railway stations including New Street and Snow Hill stations. Both are served by frequent West Midlands Railway services covering the wide geography of the region.

New Street station is 10 minutes walk away.

Snow Hill station is 10 minutes walk away.

Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery does not have a car park.

The closest car park is Town Hall Car Park which is 5 minutes walk from the museum. It is operated by Birmingham City Council and is open 24 hours per day, every day except Christmas Day. Charges apply. Blue Badge parking is free with no time limits. For google maps and Sat Nav use postcode B5 4AD.

Upon parking and leaving the car park, exit and turn left onto Navigation Street, take the second left up Hill Street, continuing to Chamberlain Square. Walk by the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery front entrance and turn right onto Edmund Street. The Gas Hall entrance is on the left and the Waterhall entrance is on the right.

Blue Badge parking can also be found on Margaret Street and Edmund Street which are in close proximity to our Edmund Street lift entrance to Gas Hall and Waterhall.
