About Soundbaths with the Manoj Collective
A reset ritual to help you relax, unwind and feel deeply soothed in the sanctuary of Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery.
Over 60 minutes, you’ll be guided by local sound practitioner Manoj of Manoj Collective through an immersive sound journey. Using a range of instruments including crystal bowls, gongs and chimes, the session unfolds within our beautiful Pre-Raphaelite Galleries. Surrounded by art and held in the tranquillity of the space, you’ll be invited into a state of deep relaxation and gentle connection with your inner world.
The benefits of sound meditation are wide-ranging, from calming the nervous system to supporting rest and clarity, but it’s something that truly needs to be experienced to be understood.

Further details
Manoj Collective
Manoj is a Birmingham-based yoga teacher, Ayurvedic therapist and gong practitioner whose work is rooted in both tradition and lived experience. A 200 RYT in Hatha Yoga, 100 RYT in Classical Kundalini, 110 RYT in Yin Yoga and 25 RYT in Pranayama, he brings depth, authenticity and warmth to every session he leads.
His journey into yoga began in childhood, inspired by his parents’ devotion to traditional Hatha and pranayama. After navigating his own health challenges, including stress, depression and the long-term effects of cancer, Manoj turned to yoga as a path of healing and transformation. Extensive study trips to India, including two months living and training in Rishikesh in the Himalayas, deepened his practice and strengthened his commitment to sharing these teachings in the West while honouring his cultural heritage.
Manoj’s classes weave together asana, pranayama, mantra, meditation and yogic philosophy in a way that feels both grounded and accessible. He is equally passionate about the balance of yin and yang practices, offering nourishing Yin Yoga, yoga nidra and sound-based workshops that encourage stillness, self-discovery and emotional release. Through kirtan, harmonium, and immersive gong sound baths, he creates uplifting, transformative experiences that foster connection, resilience and joy within the community.
