Press & Media

Filming and Photography across Birmingham Museums

Birmingham Museums welcomes requests from media and commercial production crews to film or take photographs across its sites.

Our venues have featured in many regional, national and international productions. In addition, objects, galleries and historic backdrops can provide intriguing surroundings for documentaries and interviews.

Commercial filming

Birmingham Museums is a charitable Trust, and as such fees are chargeable for all commercial filming and photography. Rates will depend on the size of the crew, the type of production and the on-site management required for the project. Filming by news crews, relating to our collection may be free of charge.

To submit your filming request please complete the Filming Request Form and return it to: filming@birminghammuseums.org.uk

Find the Expert

Birmingham Museums is a centre for excellence for collections and conservation. We have access to expert curators and conservation colleagues who are happy to be contacted by the media in relation to their area of research and expertise. Due to prior commitments our experts may not be available at short notice.
