Group Visits

Thinktank redefines the concept of a science museum. Think of it more as a way to discover the world around you and the life you lead. From steam engines to intestines, this exciting museum has over 200 hands-on displays on science and technology including a digital Planetarium and outdoor Science Garden.

At Thinktank you will find four floors of hands-on exhibits and historical collections that will amaze and inspire you, showing you the science of the world all around us.

Using fulldome 360º technology the UK’s first purpose-built digital planetarium at Thinktank puts you right in the centre of the action. With a vibrant programme of shows and activities the planetarium at Thinktank will take you on an inspiring exploration of science, art, music and experimental film.

Please note that group bookings are not available during the half-term school breaks in February, May and October.

Group bookings include:

  • Access to the museum, Science Garden and any temporary exhibition
  • Min group 10 people
  • Free admission to group organiser
  • Free familiarisation visit for group organiser
  • Multi-storey car park on site (charges apply)
  • Catering can be arranged with site or use of cafe facilities
  • Packed lunch eating space available on site
  • Designated space (non-secure) for storing belongings
  • Coach drop-off point

Planetarium shows are in addition to the group price. Pre-booked automated shows cost £1.70 per person, pre-booked presenter-led shows cost £4 per person. To join a show on the day of the visit costs £1.50 per person but tickets are subject to availability.
