Holding your community meeting or group at a Birmingham Museum site
We are keen to support organisations who would like to use our venues to hold community-focussed meetings or group activities, and will offer our room hire at a reduced rate.
This community rate is offered to community groups, CICs, small charities based in Birmingham working to support marginalised or vulnerable groups. Larger charities are also eligible if they have a Birmingham branch and under 25 staff.
Rooms can be used by eligible groups for activities which fit with Birmingham Museums Trust’s new Vision, of providing a social purpose. Activities (e.g. art clubs) can be charged for, however this cannot be at a commercial rate, and should be accessible and inclusive. Birmingham Museums Trust reserves the right to refuse bookings which are not in line with our organisational values.
Rooms are available to hire at seven of our venues (times and dates vary):
- Aston Hall
- Blakesley Hall
- Sarehole Mill
- Museum Collection Centre
- Soho House
- Weoley Castle
The rooms are available at a community hire charge of £20 (inclusive of VAT) per hour to groups meeting our eligibility criteria.
