Join internationally experienced comedian Nik Coppin for a fun, relaxed and supportive introduction to the world of stand-up comedy.
Whether you’ve always dreamed of getting on stage, want to tick a live comedy gig off your bucket list, or simply fancy trying something completely different, this workshop is the perfect place to start.
For the past few years, Nik has been organising and hosting beginner stand-up comedy courses and workshops across the UK, Europe, Southeast Asia and Australia, helping people from all walks of life discover their comedy voice and experience the thrill of performing live.
Over this two-day course, you’ll get an insight into how stand-up works, explore your own comedy ideas, learn how to develop material and have the opportunity to take to the stage in a welcoming and encouraging environment.
Saturday – 11am - 3pm
Workshop, comedy exercises and developing your material.
Sunday – 11am - 3pm
More comedy, refining your material and getting ready for the stage.
Sunday Night Showcase - 7:30pm - 9:30pm
On Sunday evening, participants will have the chance to perform their new material in a live showcase at the bar. Performing is completely voluntary, but friends and family are welcome to come along and support the performers.

Nik Coppin is a globally touring comedian and acclaimed MC known for his rapid-fire wit, upbeat energy and effortless rapport.
