About Brooch Collage Workshop with Rocio Aguilar
Discover the art of wearable storytelling in this creative collage brooch workshop led by artist Rocío Aguilar.
This hands-on session invites participants to transform a collection of images, textures, and materials into a unique brooch design. Guided by Rocío's artistic practice, you'll explore collage techniques, experiment with composition, and create a one-of-a-kind piece to take home.
Rocio Aguilar is a jewellery maker and tutor based in Birmingham, UK. After completing her studies at the School of Jewellery, Birmingham City University, she began teaching on a Level 3 Jewellery and Manufacturing course while also running her own jewellery brand. Her practice primarily focuses on silver and gemstones, but she enjoys experimenting with a wide range of materials, including cement, textiles, wool, and other unconventional media to create unique contemporary jewellery
Whether you're an experienced maker or completely new to collage, this welcoming workshop offers an opportunity to slow down, get creative, and express yourself through art.
Held in the beautiful new Craft & Culture Café Bar at the Museum of the Jewellery Quarter, there'll be plenty of opportunity to enjoy a drink while you craft.
