Experience this classic fairy-tale in the enchanting setting of Aston Hall.

As we explore the house, pupils will have the chance to dress up as Cinderella and other characters from the story to help learn it together. Aston Hall acts as Cinderella’s house, where pupils will learn about homes from the past.

  • Pupils will begin their journey in the Great Parlour, where they will dress up and learn about Cinderella, her wicked stepmother, and her stepsisters.
  • In the Kitchen, pupils will help Cinderella complete her chores, including using a dolly tub, washboard, carpet beater and broomstick. They will also see a traditional fireplace, showing how Cinderella got her name.
  • The whole class will then go on a journey through grand rooms, including the Great Dining Room, the Best Bed Chamber, and the magnificent Long Gallery, where they will attend Prince Charming’s ball, complete with music and dancing!

Please note that costumes will be provided to help children to tell the story of Cinderella with guidance from a Learning and Engagement Officer. Pupils will not be meeting an adult costumed character.
