Taught On-Site Sessions Across Our Venues
Birmingham Museums Trust will be temporarily closing its on-site school programme from 5th November.
To make the most of your museum experience we have simplified the way you choose your on-site sessions; you can now choose either a full or half-day Discovery Day package that operates within social distancing measures.
Our new Discovery Days operate across our sites and have been developed across a broad range of history, art and science subjects. They are designed to give safe and secure museum visits.
Groups will have a fantastic opportunity to engage in exciting themed activities with our museum educators, with the opportunity to have a fully guided tour around our galleries and sites.
What is involved in a Full Discovery Day?
A group can visit one of our sites for the whole day having maximum of four hours of teaching with time to have lunch at our site. You will have a dedicated facilitator for the day from our experienced Learning and Engagement Team.
What is involved in a Half Discovery Day?
A group will spend a maximum of two hours on site on a facilitated session with one of our experts from the Learning and Engagement Team.
