Aston Hall, Blakesley Hall and Sarehole Mill will enter their regular winter closure period from Sunday 1st November. 

The closures allow for essential maintenance and conservation cleaning to take place during the winter months. This process ensures the preservation of both the buildings and the collections. We plan to reopen the sites in time for February half term in 2027 meaning the period of winter closure will be shorter than previous years.

There will still be opportunities to visit some of these sites for special festive events during the closure period, take a look at our What’s On pages for more details.

Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery, Thinktank, Birmingham Science Museum, Museum of the Jewellery Quarter and Craft & Culture will keep their regular opening hours throughout the winter. Regular scheduled tours of the Museum Collection Centre and Weoley Castle will also continue throughout this period.
