VisitBlakesley Hall is a fascinating Tudor house full of history.
It’s a great historic site for families to explore and enjoy together, offering the chance to discover more about the Hall and the people who once lived here.
Family Room
As well as the historic rooms throughout the Hall. Children will particularly enjoy the Family Room which is specifically designed as a family-friendly area.
Have fun in the dressing up area with costumes from a variety of periods, play board games and complete puzzles, take a break in the soft seating area with books, and play with the puppet theatre.
Children of all ages can get involved and we hope that enjoy their time at this historic house.

The Gardens
Enjoy FREE access to our beautiful gardens during opening hours and explore our traditional Tudor herb garden and orchard with apple trees.
Bring a picnic and make the most of our free garden games too — from Giant Jenga to Skittles, there’s something for everyone to enjoy!

Outdoor Explorer Backpacks
Adventure awaits in the great outdoors! Get ready to explore the beautiful grounds at Blakesley Hall with our Outdoor Explorer Backpack. Packed with everything young adventurers need, these kits are perfect for curious children — and inquisitive adults too! Recommended for children aged 4–11 years, or anyone with a curious mind and a love of nature.
Adventure awaits in the gardens of Blakesley Hall! Grab an Outdoor Explorer Backpack, filled with tools and activities for curious kids (and grown-ups too). Perfect for ages 4–11 — or anyone who loves nature and discovering new things.
Each backpack includes:
- A magnifying glass to get up close to nature.
- Binoculars to spot things in the distance.
- A bug hunting jar to observe mini beasts.
- A butterfly net for catching fluttering creatures.
- Tweezers to handle delicate natural treasures.
- A spotter’s book to help identify your discoveries.
- A blanket to sit back and relax in the sunshine.
Cost: £3.50 per backpack. Hire them from our ticket desk and use in our free-to-access gardens.
Backpacks are limited and issued on a first come, first served basis.

Useful Information
- There are baby changing facilities in the Visitor Centre.
- Pushchairs can be stored in our porch area when visiting the Hall (these are left at your own risk).
- There is no lift due to the historic nature of the building. See accessibility for more details.
- We also offer access to a microwave for bottle warming.
- Under 3s are FREE to visit. See the tickets page for all the admission prices.
