About Comedy at the Museum ft. Bob Mills & More

Get ready for an unforgettable evening as top-tier comedians bring the laughs to one of Birmingham’s most beautiful and unique venues: the historic Tearoom at Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery.

Enjoy a pre-show museum wander through our Level 2 galleries and grab a drink before settling in to enjoy the show.

Doors open at 6pm, close at 6:45pm, and the show starts at 7pm.

Over the past 30 years, Bob Mills has written, starred in, and produced acclaimed work across television, radio, and film, all while establishing himself as one of the country’s most prolific live performers. Though his credits span everything from Win, Lose or Draw to co-writing the feature film Pierrepoint, he maintains that stand-up isn’t just something he does,  it’s who he is.

Sam Nicoresti
Sam Nicoresti is a multi-award-winning Birmingham comedian whose razor-sharp, surreal shows explore cosmic dread, identity and absurdity. Winner of the 2025 Edinburgh Comedy Award, Sam blends art-comedy flair with impeccable timing, earning rave reviews and a reputation as one of the most distinctive and innovative voices in UK stand-up. 

Devin Gray
Devin Gray is an international South African comedian whose warm, silly, observational style connects with audiences worldwide. With Comedy Central credits and tours across Europe and Asia, he brings relatable, high-energy storytelling that leaves audiences laughing and thinking, “I’ve been there!”

Nik Coppin (MC)
Nik Coppin is a globally touring comedian and acclaimed MC known for his rapid-fire wit, upbeat energy and effortless rapport. With 20+ years on international stages, he’s a versatile, crowd-pleasing host whose charm, sharp observations and award-winning professionalism make every audience feel instantly at home.

Bob Mills

Bob Mills has spent over 30 years writing, starring in, and producing hit shows across television and radio, though he insists that’s all just the “side-hustle.” His credits include Win, Lose or Draw (ITV), Games World (Sky1), In Bed with MeDinner (ITV), and There’s Only One Brian Moore (LWT). He has also co-written and produced series such as Stan The Man and the comedy-drama Northern Lights, written for Shameless, and co-wrote the feature film Pierrepoint, starring Timothy Spall and Juliet Stevenson.

But above everything else, Bob has established himself as one of the most prolific and enduring live performers in the country. As he puts it: “Wireless… telly… writing… fillums… they’re things that I DO. But stand-up? That’s what I AM.”

Sam Nicoresti

Sam Nicoresti is a multi-award-winning Birmingham comedian whose surreal, boundary-pushing work blends cosmic dread, body horror, and sharp, fever-dream humour. After winning Leicester Square Theatre New Comedian of the Year (2021), she released her acclaimed debut special Wokeflake and followed it with Baby Doomer, which went on to win the Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Show (2025).

A key figure in the northern alt-comedy scene and collectives like The Glang Show and Weirdos, Sam is celebrated for her originality, joke density, and distinctive voice. Critics have praised her as one of the most exciting and inventive comedic talents working today.

Devin Gray is an international headliner from South Africa whose observational, playful style has taken him across Europe, Asia, and beyond. Known for his warm stage presence and “I’ve been there” relatability, his comedy effortlessly connects with audiences from all backgrounds.

A Comedy Central favourite, Devin has opened for major acts including Jeffrey Ross and Hannibal Buress at the Comedy Central International Festival. Praised as both “a masterclass” and “a gold standard,” he continues to build a global reputation as a standout comedic voice.

Nik Coppin is a globally touring comedian and award-winning MC with over 20 years of international experience across the UK, Europe, Australia, the US, and Asia. Energetic, charismatic, and endlessly likeable, he’s known for his fast-paced comedy, natural rapport, and ability to command any room.

A regular at major festivals—including Edinburgh, Adelaide, Melbourne, and Hollywood Fringe- Nik’s versatility has made him one of the most in-demand hosts on the circuit. His work earned him the Spirit of the Fringe Award at Brighton Fringe 2024, reflecting both his talent and his long-standing dedication to the craft.
