About My First Museum Tour: Halloween Edition
Join us at Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery where we are hoping to give families the opportunity to join us on a relaxed child friendly tour of the museum.
We will tell child-friendly spooky stories from the museum and Birmingham. We will also discuss what makes a museum, discover part of the history behind the museum and examine exhibits. Most importantly, we will help you to orientate yourselves so that you know how to make the most of your visit.
Costumes optional, but encouraged!
To start the tour, we will meet at the top of the stairs by the main entrance, from there we will explore most of the museum. There is access to the museum via a lift to the main galleries. If you are unsure at any point, ask a member of staff for directions.
After the tour, the Museum and Art Gallery has many opportunities for families to enjoy themselves. These include: reading corners, spaces for drawing, displayed inspirational art work and a welcoming cafe.
