About Nature Explorers at Weoley Castle
Nature Explorers is back at an all-new venue! Join us at Weoley Castle for a summer of forest fun and adventure with our Forest School certified leaders.
Each session will take place in our historic woodland and will involve activities such as:
- Identifying the plants and animals of the woodland
- Making things using natural resources
- Learning to use simple hand tools
- Developing key skills such as communication, teamwork and motor skills
- Playing games in an outdoor environment
Sturdy clothing must be worn at all times during Nature Explorers, children will need to wear long sleeves and trousers, with boots, trainers or wellies.
Activities will take place outside in all weather, except extreme storms. All participants will need waterproof clothing and a change of clothes with them.
All medical information, allergies and medicine requirements must be disclosed at the first session of Nature Explorers to ensure the safety of participants.
Aimed at children between 7 and 16 years old. Children may be dropped off following the completion of emergency contact and information forms.
A maximum of 2 Adults per child are also welcome to stay onsite throughout the session. Adults can either accompany the session or relax in our visitor centre.
